This year marks the 130th anniversary of the establishment of the first Solera of the brandy Cardenal Mendoza (1887), a source of pride and a reason for celebration for Bodegas Sánchez. To commemorate this anniversary, a week is established annually, such as the week “Cardenal Mendoza”
These seven days will be called “Cardenal Mendoza International Golden Week” and will take place every year during the last seven days of November.
The “Golden Week” will be from November 23 to 30, 2016.
Below you will find more information about the first one Cardenal Mendoza GOLDEN WEEK. There are already 28 events taking place around the world, and the following will be held here in Jerez:
1. At the Cuchara de Palo Restaurant, a wine-paired dinner will be offered with Cardenal Mendoza and pure Joya Nicaragua
2. At Tasca del Flores, located in the city center, a typical flamenco party will take place, where you can enjoy Cardenal Mendoza combined.
3. At Bodegas Sánchez Romate There will be a Mus tournament, tastings and prizes Cardenal Mendoza in the same place where he was born Cardenal Mendoza.
In addition, several pairing menus and tastings will take place nationwide. Cardenal Mendoza and its different styles in restaurants in Zamora, Segovia, A Coruña, Vilassar de Mar, Vilanova i la Gernika (Barcelona). In Barcelona, at The Serras Hotel on Paseo Colón, their mixologists will create a cocktail special with Cardenal Mendoza Royal Letter to celebrate Golden Week throughout this week.
Panama will celebrate with an event at a famous chocolate shop that offers a multitude of ways to enjoy Cardenal Mendoza such as a master class of Cardenal MendozaA tasting of the different varieties, cocktail making and pairings with chocolates, and participants will be given premium chocolates filled with this brandy.
Two exclusive tastings will take place in Russia, including a menu Cardenal Mendoza pairing menu and an exclusive tasting with industry expert Yuri Bogonostev.
A vertical tasting will also be done with Cardenal Mendoza Classic and Royal Charter in Ukraine at one of the most elegant cafes, specifically Cafe Rosemary. Cheeses and desserts prepared by the chef will also be served.
