MICRO-STORY COMPETITION

Great stories in a few words.

Short Stories

capable of enduring.

The Cardenal Mendoza International Microfiction Contest was created with the aim of bringing together literature and Brandy de Jerez through stories capable of moving readers in just a few lines. Each year, writers from different countries participate in this cultural initiative where creativity, imagination, and brevity find their own space.

Organized by Sánchez Romate,

The contest proposes an open theme in which Brandy de Jerez must be present in some form within the story. An open invitation to explore new perspectives, atmospheres, and emotions surrounding one of the great symbols of Jerez.

Throughout its various editions, the contest has established itself as one of the most recognizable cultural events of Golden Week, bringing together thousands of entries from around the world and building an ever-growing literary community.

Each micro-story represents a different way of interpreting the Cardenal Mendoza universe: intimate, surprising, ironic, or evocative stories where the ability to suggest and move the reader takes center stage.
