Materials from a relationship
At first, our love was made of paper: we folded it into origami and built little paper airplanes to fly through scripts for short films with happy endings. We don’t know how it turned into plastic. This is a material that time can hardly corrupt, but it is artificial, fake. So we preferred to transform it into glass, diaphanous, though very fragile. Soon it seemed to us like a bottle of Jerez brandy that gave us, once again, great moments, until it was empty… You felt like a castaway and one morning you left, taking it with you. But you didn’t put a letter inside and toss it into the sea; instead, you threw it straight into the trash. I still wonder whether it went into the organic waste bin or the glass recycling bin.
