As with our brandy, we advocate for processes that are fully supervised and therefore experienced by people.
We harvest Airén grapes from Castilla-La Mancha, add the distilled juice to our centuries-old aging system during the Rocío harvest, extract the matured cognac during the final Saca (drainage), and expose it to the sweet aromas throughout the entire process. It is these moments that fill us with immense pride when we see our finished products, and they always offer something unique compared to those produced for mass consumption.
We live for and through tradition thanks to the exclusive Criadera aging system & Solera which we have used since our founder, Juan Sánchez de la Torre, began making wines in 1781. However, we are always searching, always looking ahead to find ways to improve and fulfill our founder’s dream, to educate the world about our spectacular Jerez wines and brandies and put Jerez on the map.
We invite you to explore what our website has to offer and gain a deep understanding of the history, legacy, and complex processes used in the production of Cardenal Mendoza.
But this is a moment in which we want to celebrate other projects, which despite being on a different scale and in different industries, make us feel that there are more people like us who live by what we believe in, our mantra, The Art of Living.
Magalasi Wooden Sunglasses
Founder: Javier Ruiz (lover of wood in all its varieties)
We came across Javier Ruiz’s project and were instantly captivated by his story. What caught our attention was his ambition to create a business based on his passion for handcrafted wood products. Javier, who studied mechanical engineering, is only 24 years old and is now dedicated to establishing his business.
Each pair of glasses is individually handmade, making them unique as no two models are repeated.
The company culture behind Magaladi sunglasses is about producing something unique for each customer, celebrating what nature offers us in a world increasingly dominated by industrialization and artificial products. Mr. Ruiz, thank you for that!

The Bearded Kraken – 100% pure and natural beard oils
Founder: Richard Clarke
Another story from our beloved Spain. Richard Clarke decided to pursue his desire to grow, maintain, and care for his beard. After researching how to care for his new companion, natural beard oils seemed like the best solution. However, there was nowhere in Spain where such products were sold. Instead of buying from abroad, he took the plunge and decided to start his own company.

Richard now has a collection of four different types of beard oils. The oils are composed of 100% jojoba, sweet almond, and grapeseed oils. Richard is able to detail the multiple health benefits of each oil.
Richard’s passion for his products has come to life, and as a result, he has become the foremost expert and consultant on how to get the most out of the products he has created.
Mr. Clarke, we admire your efforts to bring us something that didn’t previously exist in Spain, your determination to learn and experiment with the properties of different natural products, and the enjoyment and success you’ve experienced as a result. This is the Art of Living in its purest form!
