Given the substantial similarities between the first-prize-winning work, “Amada mamá,” and another winning micro-story from a different contest that has already been published, the jury of the 13th Cardenal Mendoza International Micro-Story Contest has decided to withdraw the award from that work and award it to “Dicotomía post mortem.” Therefore, the list of awards is as follows:
– First Prize: “Dicotomía post mortem,” by Esteban Torres Sagra.
– Second Prize: “De locos,” by M. Carme Marí Vila.
– Third Prize: “Con el escalpelo” (With the Scalpel), by Jesús Jiménez Reinaldo.
– Cardenal Mendoza Non Plus Ultra “Qué va a ser” by Sergio Rozalén
