Consumers appreciate its smoothness and flavor, savoring every sip, while mixologists admire the extraordinary complexity and depth of flavors found in Cardenal Mendoza, crafted from select spirits and aged an average of fifteen years in Oloroso and Pedro Jiménez barrels. It can be used in cocktails, paired with coffee, chocolate, Coca-Cola, and cigars. If some people have the X Factor, Cardenal Mendoza has the C Factor. That’s why this year we’re looking for the world’s best mixologists to capture the essence of the C Factor in a cocktail.
The winning mixologist will not only see their cocktail featured in this new edition of Golden Week—an annual celebration honoring this brandy, held from October 25 to 31— but the lucky winner will also win a trip for two to Jerez to attend an exclusive Golden Week VIP event.
The jury for this contest will consist of:
Julio Cabrera, also known as the King of Miami Cocktails, who has over twenty-five years of experience.
Natalie Jacob, brand ambassador for Cardenal Mendoza and mixologist and beverage stylist, straight from New York.
Mathias Soberon, a regular judge at international cocktail competitions and founder of Served by Soberon, a renowned blog on cocktails and beverages.
Golden Week
The fourth edition of Cardenal Mendoza Golden Week will take place in various locations around the world from October 25 to 31, 2019.
This is a great week that pays tribute to this fantastic drink and includes tastings, masterclasses, seminars, pairings, and cocktail sessions. Among the events from last year’s edition, we highlight an exclusive pairing session featuring chocolate, cigars, and Cardenal Mendoza brandy in Madrid, in collaboration with the Scandinavian Tobacco Group, as well as the C&C Cocktail event in Puerto Rico, which featured Cardenal Mendoza cocktails designed to evoke the aroma of cigars, chocolate, or coffee. Events in Panama, China, Ukraine, Greece, Germany, and Italy, for example, are also worth mentioning.
We want the 2019 edition to be just as spectacular and to also feature the exclusive VIP event in Jerez, in the company of the winning mixologist from the cocktail competition.
